Tom Moore was born on May 1, 1883 in Fordstown Crossroads, County Meath, Ireland as Thomas J. Moore. He was an actor and director, known for Manhandled (1924), The Woman Racket (1930) and Side Street (1929). He was married to Elinor Merry, Renée Adorée and Alice Joyce. He died on February 12, 1955 in Santa Monica, California, USA of Cancer. Irish-born romantic lead, in films from 1908. Worked for Kalem, Pathé and Goldwyn in the 1910's. Voted by a trade journal in 1921 as one of the top fifteen male stars at the box office. Joined Paramount in 1925. Career declined with the arrival of sound pictures and subsequently confined to supporting roles.
